An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, self-motivated, and enthusiastic person to join our digital team at JGM Agency (stm_grp). We’re a Creative Communications, Digital & Marketing agency, celebrating our 22nd birthday this year. Located in Rawtenstall at the end of the M66 – but also with offices in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. 

You will work alongside our Developers, Project Managers and Account Managers on high-profile clients such as easyJet, Pets at Home, the PGA and many others. You will work on a range of projects from brand new website builds, to enhancing existing applications as part of ongoing design iterations. 

You will be expected to lead web projects from a design standpoint and work closely with clients to ensure that all ideas are communicated thoroughly. You should also be knowledgeable about design thinking methodologies and have at least 2+ years web-based experience. 

You must have the ability to manage your own workload, working independently, and as part of a small team, delivering eye-catching designs that respond seamlessly across all viewports.  

Required skills

  • Confident working with Figma to design low and high-fidelity designs
  • Experience site mapping, wireframing and prototyping
  • Strong creative, design and usability knowledge
  • Good understanding of responsive design and web best practices
  • Experience with content, UI audits and information architecture
  • Appreciation for the importance of accessibility
  • Previous experience using analytics tools such as Hotjar or CrazyEgg


You’ll need to

  • Have excellent attention to detail and good ability to contribute ideas
  • Be self-motivated with good timekeeping and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Promote knowledge sharing and good practice within an Agile team
  • Have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be willing to learn and experiment with new technologies


The following will help support your application

  • Understanding of atomic design principles
  • Previous experience using Jira/ Atlassian in an Agile SCRUM environment
  • In-depth Figma skills such as auto-layout and interactive components to speed up the design process
  • Basic understanding around web development
