JGM has had an ongoing relationship with Manchester Metropolitan University for many years, however, we were initially engaged in 2016 to create and roll-out an innovative fully-integrated Undergraduate campaign.

The goal was to increase enrolment for the upcoming year and engage with the students on a more personal level.

Solution

We created a series of first-person scenarios that were based on the key Undergraduate learning areas and showed the potential path from current standing, via MMU, to a future full-time occupation. Utilising 360° panoramic imagery, we creatively took them on a seamless journey that dynamically showcased life in and around the university and culminated with the student being transported into their ideal job scenario having ‘made it at Mcr Met.’

The campaign generated 13 million advert impressions UK-wide, a 31% increase in comparison to the previous year, with approximately 5.7m offline impressions. The campaign also enabled MMU to achieve a 6% increase in new visitors to the booking page during the campaign, with a 3% average increase in visitors based outside of Manchester, which met the objective of ‘extending geographical reach’. The campaign also gained the University much more exposure, allowing them to attract potential students by using insight into campus life, facilities and different courses.
